I’m a photographer, Journalist, and educator with a long-standing focus on documenting real people, real places, and real stories. My background is rooted in Journalism and visual storytelling, where accuracy, context, and trust are not optional, they’re essential. Over the years, I’ve worked across photography, writing, and teaching, always with the same goal: to observe carefully and represent what I see with honesty.
Prior to choosing to make a mid-life career change, I was a police officer for almost 20 years, with experience from everything from enforcing provincial statutes to homicide investigations. I was designated as an expert witness in the theory and operation of the Borkenstein Breathalyzer, and testified in Provincial and Criminal Courts on a regular basis. I have a good understanding of the rules of evidence.
That approach carries directly into the work I do today through Home Team Media Inc. For commercial clients, it means producing photographic documentation that is clear, reliable, and grounded in fact, offering provenance so that the work can stand up to scrutiny when it matters most. For individuals and families, it means taking the time to document life as it is lived, preserving not just images, but stories, voices, and experiences that might otherwise be lost.
We all have a story to tell, but often, life gets in the way, preventing these stories from being shared until it is too late. While what I can provide is not in any way a substitute for a person no longer with us, it can help fill in some gaps and be a source of comfort and a legacy of a life well lived.

Whether I’m working on a professional assignment or a personal story, the intent is the same: to create work that is honest, meaningful, and lasting, and which provides an accurate and factual representation for the purpose for which it is requested.
